I am a research student obsessed with the edges where biology and machines stop being separate things. Right now I am building projects that combine robotics and biotechnology — trying to understand what happens when you give living systems mechanical extensions, or mechanical systems biological intuition. Before this, I spent a lot of time on electrical engineering: circuits, embedded systems, the kind of work where the feedback loop between theory and a soldering iron is immediate and humbling. I am drawn to questions that feel too ambitious to be practical and too concrete to be purely academic. I am also a 1517 Fund Medici Grant recipient and an Emergent Ventures awardee.
